Although 2012 will be our fourth year of providing randonnees here in the Northwest corner of Illinois, we're still the "new kid on the block" when it comes to longevity with RUSA but we're still growing and each year adding at least one new option.

This year, we will offer our first Fleche which is still in the development stages. The RBA from the Minneapolis-St Paul area has suggested a neat option that, if he can coordinate it, will see teams from several geographical regions head to the Minneapolis-St Paul area as a destination, stay overnight for a shindig on Saturday evening. It could be a hoot. We'll have an alternative destination in reserve just in case he can't get it arranged. Stay tuned!

We're hoping to have some Permanents developed and approved soon so that accumulating those kilometers won't be such a hassle!

Our first brevet in 2012 will be a 200K on April 21, 2012. It will use the old "LeClaire to Bellevue" IA route from the days of Dave Holmes. Leclaire, IA is located north of Interstate 80 on the Mississippi River. The rest of the series will use the Eldridge, IA starting location, the same as last year. Eldridge, IA is located on Hwy 61 just north of Davenport, IA.
